Fishing is a relaxing sport, but at the same time it can be fun and exciting for people of all ages. Having fun with your kids and teaching them respect for the environment is important to us. Here at Penobscot Guide Service, we like to encourage kids to get involved with and enjoy the passion of fishing. That's why we offer free fishing to children under the age of 12. We only practice catch and release sport fishing. Whether you're an experienced fly fisherman or a first time spin caster, we cater to all levels and experience. While we encourage you to bring your favorite lures or fishing rod, we will provide you with all equipment and tackle needed for a great fishing day. We can accomodate larger parties if needed and fly fishing lessons for beginners. We also provide a lunch.

There's no experience like hooking a Smallmouth Bass and watching it break right out of the water. River fish are known to be more aggressive and agile than Lake Bass. This is why I enjoy providing guide services on the Penobscot River. The Penobscot River is located in the heart of Maine and is a wonderful diverse river full of excellent fishing spots with head ponds, grass beds, shallows, and deep water providing over 60 miles of beautiful scenery and fishing.

With our new jet drive boat, we are able to attack every possible fishing hole on the river and ensure that we put you in the spot to hook the 'Big One'.

If you like to catch aggressive Smallmouth Bass while looking at beautiful scenery, you will love the Penobscot River.
